JCA’s New Year’s Resolutions

Juan J. Cruz: To live in the present moment and soak in all of the experiences as they happen without worrying too much about the past events or future probabilities that may or may not happen.

Lisa Paul: Do more volunteer work with my husband.  We recently spent a Saturday morning at our church’s food pantry helping give out food to over 100 families. It was hard work, but we enjoyed it and enjoyed spending time volunteering together.

Sonya Garcia: I want to practice mindfulness to appreciate the present day and its opportunities.

Valeria Reyes: My New Year’s resolution is to read at least one book a month.

Ricardo Benavides: My New Year’s resolutions are to spend more time with my family, take more spontaneous vacations, and to start regularly using sunscreen.

Joe Benavides: To attend mass on Sunday as I did growing up. Although I pray regularly, I feel like sacrificing one hour a week to give thanks for everything is the least I can do.

Triana Gonzalez: In 2023, I’d like focus on a happier me.  My resolutions include learning to play an instrument, exploring a new hobby, and planning a family vacation or simply take more trips with no destination in mind.

Maritza Garcia: My New Year’s Resolutions for 2023 are to read more, exercise more, spend less, eat healthier, and spend more quality time with friends and family.

Noah Alford: In 2023, I’d like to maintain a positive outlook and enjoy everything I can during my final year as a student and first few months as a professional. I’m hoping to keep my focus on the present and not let moments pass by while thinking about something else.

Aldo Villalon: My resolution for the year is to give back to the community as much as possible since I have been given plenty.
